Katori Shinto Ryu Athens was created by a small group of practicioners, lead by Angelos Kitsikis, who has been given the shidosha license (license to transmit the tradition in Athens) in July 2025, after practicing Katori Shinto Ryu for a few years.
His background in traditional Japanese martial arts started from a really young age, practicing Karate for more than15 years, before meeting his first Sensei in our art. Since then, we have traveled to Japan many times, and to many more places around the world to practise Katori Shinto Ryu
